"I haven't worn perfume in almost twenty years. I actually haven't worn any scented products for as many years. This came about originally when I learned about the seemingly harmful chemicals that exist in many products we use to "beautify" ourselves. Then at my former clinic clients with serious multiple chemical sensitivities started to show up. At that juncture I really had to be careful of any and all products I wore, as well as what was used in the clinic.
Since I am no longer in a clinical setting I find I don't have to be quite as cautious about scents. I do still use only natural fragrances and make a habit of reading labels, since I am very aware of the dangers of chemical ingredients.
